Thankyou to our learners

“You told us…” — celebrating your voices from our recent workshops

🌿 Over the past few months, we’ve been delivering Community Confidence Crafts & Green Skills workshops across Fenland and Peterborough — and you have told us just how much these sessions have meant.

Here’s just some of what you shared with us:

💬 “I loved meeting new people and learning new skills.”

💬 “Being here got me out of the house. I met new people, learnt new skills and feel part of something again.”

💬 “It was wonderful learning alongside different ages — we encouraged each other and it made me feel proud.”

💬 “I find it hard to mix with other people sometimes, but this was a great group… it made me feel good.”

💬 “History, heritage and how to weave — brilliant!”

💬 “I learnt a lot about soil, plants and seeds — thank you.”

💬 “I never thought I could do this… now I feel confident enough to learn more and even volunteer.”

💬 “Meeting new people… normally I’m at home alone, so it’s great to get out of the house.”

💬 “A real sense of success — that I can achieve things.”

💬 “Really good to get outside.”

Your words mean everything.

They help us understand what works, what matters, and how trusted, place‑based learning can change confidence, connection and wellbeing.

Thank you to every learner who shared their voice, their story and their courage.

You shape our programmes. You help us grow. And you remind us why community learning matters.

**Celebrating Community Confidence, Crafts & Green Skills across Fenland & Peterborough!** 🌿

We’re delighted to share the impact of our Community Confidence, Crafts & Green Skills programme as we return our outcomes to funders. This work was made possible through:

Adult Learning and Skills funding from Cambridgeshire Community Foundation and the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority, delivered in partnership with Accent Housing, Cambridgeshire Libraries, Peterborough CVS Volunteering Page and The Oasis Community Centre, Wisbech .

Together, we brought learning right into the heart of communities — places where people already feel safe, welcome and connected. Across Fenland and Peterborough, 57 adult learners, families, young people, carers and older residents took part in hands‑on craft, heritage and green‑skills sessions.

💬 “It was wonderful learning alongside different ages — we encouraged each other and it made me feel proud.”

Our trusted tutors offered gentle, individualised support that helped people grow confidence, reduce anxiety, build new skills and take meaningful next steps. Intergenerational learning was a real highlight — children, parents, older adults and carers learning side‑by‑side, creating, growing and reconnecting.

And we want to say a huge thank you to every participant who shared their experiences, reflections and honest feedback. Your voices shaped this programme, strengthened our understanding of what works, and helped us show funders the real human impact behind the numbers.

💬 “Being here got me out of the house. I met new people, learnt new skills and feel part of something again.”

From this programme, residents have already progressed into:

🏡 Community involvement

Your courage, curiosity and commitment made these outcomes possible — and your feedback will help us continue to grow opportunities across Fenland and Peterborough.

This is why CP Learning Trust is so effective at supporting confidence building, Connect to Work and work experience opportunities — we work where people live, we understand their barriers, and we build trust that opens doors.
